Paris-based Naboo acquires UK meetings and events specialist pro-ven following €58.7 million Series B

Naboo, a Paris-based EventTech scale-up, has joined forces with UK specialist pro-ven, bringing together two of the Meetings and Events (M&E) sector’s prominent names.

Starting today, pro-ven becomes Naboo UK. Together, the combined entity now oversees €269 million ($300 million) in meetings and events worldwide. The acquisition was financed through an equal split of equity and debt. The move follows Naboo’s €58.7 million Series B funding round earlier this year, led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and existing investors Notion Capital, ISAI, and Ternel.

“The future category leader in the M&E spend management market will be a pure player. Both event planners and procurement leaders have very high expectations in terms of user experience, embedded compliance, payment simplification, spend analytics and transparency. It cannot be achieved as a side business by TMCs who are still very much focused on transforming the transient travel experience. Together with pro-ven, that is the leader we are building,” said Maxime Eduardo, co-founder and CEO of Naboo.

Founded in 2022 by Eduardo, Antoine Servant, Lucien Bredin, and Jean-Louis Villeminot, Naboo is a platform for booking, managing, and running corporate events, also known as MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions). Its offering spans venue sourcing, AI-assisted procurement, corporate payment cards, accounts payable, and event planning tools for organisers and participants.

The company aims to replace the fragmented event tools with its AI operating system, which uses intelligent agents to handle sourcing, quote comparisons, contract review, and payment processing automatically. According to Naboo, its platform delivers an average saving of 12% per event for clients, which includes Google, Meta, Microsoft, Siemens, as well as a quarter of the French CAC 40 index under exclusive contracts.

Established in 2005, pro-ven has spent two decades building deep relationships with enterprise clients across the UK, Europe, and globally. Its expertise spans venue and supplier sourcing, rate negotiation, approval workflows, centralised invoicing, and lodge card management. The tie-up pairs Naboo’s technological scale with proven client expertise in the UK market, where the former has been expanding since opening a London office in 2025 and has signed clients such as KPMG and HSBC.

“I am incredibly excited for our clients and our team to make such a step into the AI-native world, which I believe is the right technology to create a world leader in the M&E market,” said Julian Laxon, founder and Managing Director of pro-ven, who will continue in his role to help as Naboo builds out its UK presence.

pro-ven has 20 employees, and Naboo said it plans to retain everyone to support its exponential growth in the UK market.

“With Naboo, we are now able to address our clients’ needs for global coverage with equal quality, anywhere in the world. This is the direction our clients’ booking communities and procurement leads are clearly taking: one single vendor of record, anywhere in the world, to cover all the complex elements of venue find, event management and payment,” he added.

The corporate meetings and events sector is estimated at €358 billion ($400 billion) globally, and according to Naboo, the sector is the last major category of enterprise spend that has not yet been digitised. It says the sector has been marked by tension between event organisers looking for experience and agility and procurement and finance teams seeking visibility, compliance, and cost control.

With AI, Naboo says it is economically viable to bridge that gap for every size of event, including the smaller bookings that escaped procurement oversight. The market is reacting to this change with AMEX GBT acquired by Long Lake while Navan acquired Reed & Mackay and partnered with BoomPop.

“We are a service company. Service-as-a-software: it means our software absorbs the operational complexity – the admin, the workflows, the manual steps – so our talents can spend their time on what actually matters: the relationship,” added Eduardo.

The acquisition of pro-van comes weeks after Naboo unveiled a new brand identity in October and opened its first Asia-Pacific office in Singapore. The company has raised €90 million ($100 million) in the past three years) and now aims to exceed €900 million ($1 billion) in business volume by 2027.
