Undecimal Bio lands €16 million to develop targeted RNA medicines beyond the liver

Published on October 13, 2026

Cambridge-based Undecimal Bio, a spin-out from Eleven Therapeutics advancing targeted delivery of siRNA therapeutics, today announced a €16 million ($18 million) Seed financing round to expand DELiveri, its proprietary AI-enabled platform for identifying conjugates that can direct RNA medicines to defined cell types.

The round was co-led by 4BIO Capital and IQ Capital, with participation from Verve Ventures, Harel Tech, Entree Capital, Kerna Ventures and Saras Capital. The funding will also be used to progress Undecimal’s renovascular programmes and enable expansion of the team at their laboratories based at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute.

“The hard problem in RNAi was never the silencing, it was getting the molecule to the right cell,” says Dr. Yaniv Erlich, CEO and co-founder of Undecimal Bio. “Our in-vivo validated DELiveri platform can screen large chemical spaces at an unprecedented pace, generating massive data for our legions of AI agents to decipher the structure-activity relationship and score the best candidates. We are excited to bring these advances to develop the next generation of siRNA therapeutics for the benefit of patients.”

Undecimal Bio’s Seed financing comes amid a series of European investments in RNA-based therapeutics, targeted drug delivery and AI-enabled biotechnology platforms in 2026.

Related announcements include Dublin-based Aerska‘s €32 million Series A to advance RNA interference medicines targeting neurological diseases, Paris-based WhiteLab Genomics‘ €23.2 million Series B for AI-driven genomic medicine design and delivery, and Cambridge-based STORM Therapeutics‘ €47.5 million Series C to progress RNA-modifying cancer treatments.

In the UK, Thalia Therapeutics also secured €3.1 million to develop its RNA therapeutics portfolio, while London-based Helical raised €8.4 million for its AI-powered pharmaceutical R&D platform.

Alongside additional investments in Spain’s Gate2Brain, Belgium’s Sightera Biosciences and the UK’s Houdini Bio, these announcements represent approximately €125.9 million in 2026 funding, rising to €141.9 million including Undecimal’s round.

Founded in 2026, Undecimal pairs massive scale combinatorial chemistry with transformer-based AI to guide siRNA therapeutics into the tissues that need them.

According to the company, RNA interference has transformed the treatment of liver-expressed diseases, but reaching tissues beyond the liver remains a key obstacle limiting the broader potential of the modality. DELiveri addresses this challenge as a technology that screens massive-scale combinatorial libraries of candidate ligands, converting cells to act as molecular radars that detect productive delivery at single molecule resolution.

This high throughput data is analysed by agentic AI to decode the resulting structure-activity data and identify conjugates capable of carrying siRNA into target cells.

Undecimal is initially applying the DELiveri platform in renovascular diseases, which pose significant unmet clinical need. Existing treatments of these indications largely address symptoms rather than the underlying etiological factors.

Th company believes that targeted siRNA delivery holds the potential to bring the digital-like precision of genetic medicines, enabling durable, target-specific silencing of the disease-driving pathways.

The Board of Directors comprises representatives of 4BIO Capital, IQ Capital and Harel Technologies, together with co-founders Dr. Yaniv Erlich and Shaul Ilan. Alongside the financing, Verve Ventures joins the Board as an observer.
